Ab winter aa chukka h so everyone needs to warm themselves and the best thing to do that is to sit below the sun. Well what the message students get that agar berozgaar ki tarah sun k under baithe then ….that the college authority is jobless? So the best idea was that of organizing the formality of doing a job and so for that this checking has begun. It’s not a surprise as we have most of time witnessing this that the college authority wakes up to the action only during the winter for few weeks. After all in the next semester they cannot show there appearance to the outgoing batches as they would have not brought up any company for them and to escape their anger they will hibernate during the next sem.
There may be additional motive for this action. The college authority sense that if they brand a strict control like this on the 1^st year student now, then they would have better command over them for the next few approaching days and they are quite successful in this after all 1^st year waalo ko dekho kitne formal dresses mein aate h mess.
Well if you think there can be another reason then let us now as this is the biggest nuisance we are presently witnessing in the college.

NUMBER 1 No. of Placed Final Year Students as of 1^st November 2011: 4. Out of which 1 was through off-campus and no official record of the rest of three. Just heard it on the move!

NUMBER 2 A Turtle can crawl faster here in BRCM if compared to Internet Browsing during peak hours.

NUMBER 3 Attendance should be THE most important objective in the life of the students here according to the authorities. If a student arranges a internship for himself/herself, he/she would be debarred from pursuing it as ATTENDANCE is more important than his/her career.

NUMBER 4 Being in such a remote location where the mode to access the outer world is only and only Internet, there exists a restriction on the access timings of Internet.

NUMBER 5 NUMBER 6 NUMBER 7 NUMBER 8 NUMBER 9 NUMBER 10 . . .

You must be wondering how the title of the post relates to the above discussed problems. Let me clarify it.

Those who would have visited Annapurna Mess during lunch hours would have witnessed the entire college authority form Principal to Registrar, the hostel wardens etc. standing and sitting tall to verify if a student is having a valid College ID or not. Not limited to scrutinizing the students, even I-card Distribution shop went LIVE in the presence of esteemed authorities of BRCM in-front of the mess for the LEET Students.

One of the wardens even said this “ki raat mei formal shoes mei aana mess” ! “What was that? I don’t even have it”, was my reaction but who cares about my reaction. I was asked to wear the I-card in my neck as if I didn’t do then the digestive system of mine would refuse to work for an indefinite period. I moved on saying I didn’t have it. They even had the solution to it. Along with I-cards , there were I-card Holders too which I had deliberately not taken ;)

Instead of taking pains to get the final year students placed that are at the verge of their career, college management is busy checking I-cards, footwear and load of useless things. There are numerous other problems that should be taken care by the management but our top authorities have decided to book a chair for themselves outside the mess and taken up the job of scrutinizing the Students Identity. Hats Off to management not coz they are doing a commendable job but I fear for my hats!

So students the college admin has considered the action of obliging iCARD essential in the mess (conceivably they would make it required at all other places under their domination). It’s an administration verdict over which we cannot make any objections and also the instruction can’t be broken for the time being as the rule seems to becoming firmer. All we can say is that perhaps certain Apple admirer has advised this decision. Regardless of all things please abide by the decision till it remains in force.

Since preceding couple of weeks the college’s internet is by large collapsing persistently. The situation deteriorates record of the time thru the nightfall once the internet usage is at pinnacle. Agreeably, there appears to be no elucidation to the aforesaid glitch and this degrading situation is repetitively obstructing our virtual presence. Isn’t it?
To certain limit we can voice this catastrophe is owing to negligence of the college server but it’s not as green as that. We too have a share on this radical tragedy. How? Well, remember the gigantic download/upload of data that we are always doing, count data transfer to and from IPMSG here to, (organization ponder those data as junk), likewise, we almost concurrently login at that specific phase through our browser. So guess what, we have now generated congestion to a magnitude that it pilots to the plunge of the server.
Any resolution for that, we guess from our part we have very little remedy available. We can categorically condense the download at that crux time (chiefly across IPMSG) except that we speculate that the sphere goes at the college server then. Perhaps at the mean interval we can be in contact of the college server in-charge to examine for a resolution, and if we approach amongst any solution thenceforward we would certainly update you all.

So, we are sitting in a room in the Boys’ hostel, pen hanging out of our mouth, We have no image of what to write, and we are grasping that this unfortunate due to the fact that nothing is really going wrong or trending in college.
It's amusing in a way, we used to discuss “hot topic” persistently since nothing ever seemed to work quite factual in college (at least we, as students, always believed as such). As we became more well-informed, more practiced, and most prominently more comfortable with college, we realized that the “hot topic” is rather unrelated. At the end of the day packages or at least good degree by studying hard is important and most things can’t be achieved in this collage (though sporadically with comparatively effort it can be).
Of course, there are things that we would like to see change. There are things that we would like to see which various colleges achieve and/or simply implement those in our collage. There is still a lot that we wish to learn. All of these things can and will one day happen when we find the motivation, but for now... things just work. We can't really say that about many other colleges. We certainly can't say the same about IIT’s and NIT’s anyway. We have good environment, proper infrastructure and a descent faculty (better compared to many other colleges). So, at the end of the day, everything works and we can’t change anything.
We guess, the only foe left is serenity, loneliness... and boredom.

So it has been a awfully long time meanwhile our former post and a lot have changed since then. Apologising for the absenteeism .
It was tricky to converge on this blog considering that we were reserved busy by the studies, assignment, exam and many other things. We suppose that these lame explanations are silly and hence we would be amplifying our member and contribution from other students would be boosted from now on.
With faith, that this blog would be promptly active and would serve to the students requirement and would frequently deliver the majority current and updated information to you all.Till then ensure an eye on this blog.
